IMAGICA CORP. ANNOUNCES HIGH SPEED FILM RECORDER AT NAB2005

IMAGICA CORP., Tokyo announced today that Imagica will introduce a high speed digital film recorder. The Imager HSR High Speed Recorder at NAB2005, which offers a speed of 3fps in 2K (2048/1828x1536/1028 pixels) motion picture data to Eastman Kodak 5242 Intermediate Film for Digital Interpositive or Internegative Films.

Imager HSR is six (6) times faster than the current laser recorders and it is the highest speed recorder available to the market today.

Building upon pioneering recorder technology licensed from Eastman Kodak Company, Imager HSR combines a newly developed optical engine with JVC's D-ILA LCOS image device and LED illumination light source. Imager HSR High Speed Recorder was developed based upon Imagica's engineering expertise of real time HD to film recorder, currently in service at Imagica Corp., Japan.
