SIGGRAPH ASIA 2009 Exhibition
IMAGICA Corp. (Tokyo, Japan: Tsuguya Kitade, president) and its subsidiary, Links Digiworks, Inc. (Tokyo, Japan: Takashi Fukumoto, president) will be exhibiting at Siggraph Asia 2009 between December 17th through 19th at Pacifico Yokohama.
In 1974, Siggraph was founded for individuals and companies that were associated with computer graphics and interactive technology to announce their research, development and services.
Last year, Siggraph Asia was introduced as the Asian version of Siggrapgh in Singapore.
This year, city of Yokohama in Japan is hosting the second exhibition.

VcamTM system
Links Digiworks, Inc. will be exhibiting video game opening sequences that were produced with previs process, utilizing its motion capture system, sample materials for advertisement that were created with real time rendering technology and CAD data as well as the Siggraph Asia 2008 Judge Award winning short CG animation, “KUDAN” .
IMAGICA Corp. invited Chris Edwards, CEO and founder of The Third Floor, who has produced previs for feature films, “Avatar”, “Christmas Carol” and video game “Resident Evil 5” to the “Tech Talk” session on 12/17 (2:30 pm to 3:45 pm) to discuss about “The Past, Present & Future of Previsualization” by showing actual demo reels.

(*1) Previs is an abbreviation for previsualization. It is one of the production process that is to design accurate shots in CG as simulation in prior to actual filming.
(*2) A virtual camera system with microwave sensors, distributed by Creact International in Japan. This system enables you to film freely and simulate realistic hand held camera movement within full CG environment.
(*3) A CG production technique to capture actors’ motions into computers with reflective sensors placed on actors joints. This captured motion data is used to create realistic motion for CG characters.
